Chef Christopher Ray is a Certified Chef of the USPCA (United States Private Chef Association). He was recently honored with becoming a member of the World Association of Chefs’ Societies.
Striving for perfection with his boutique catering company, Five Course Catering, they have added a new service, “Up North Private Chef,” with a focus on excellence in Drop Off Meals – Ready to Heat–N–Eat, as well as full service In-Home Dining.
Chef Christopher Ray has made his mark in the culinary world throughout the Twin Cities and beyond. A known authority on game cookery, he has authored two books published on the topic.
Certified in Nutritional Cooking from the Culinary Institute of America, Hyde Park, NY, Christopher was previously on the Advisory Councils for both the Le Cordon Bleu Culinary College in St. Paul and the Art Institute of Minneapolis.
Chef Ray designed Five Course Catering as a cutting edge, custom catering company. They are respected for their “extra” fine service, excellence in creativity and presentation of food.
Early in his career, Chef Ray was fortunate to be recognized with many awards, honors and accolades including: "National Restaurant of the Year" by America’s Pork Producers, "National Chef of the Year" runner up, as voted by Chef Magazine, "Best Specialty Ethnic Restaurant" by Minnesota Monthly and toured the country in the "Celebrated Chef" program with the National Pork Producers.

We have enjoyed several meals from Chef Ray, including some special holiday meals that he created for us. I have a salt sensitivity, so I’m always overjoyed when someone can create a lot of flavor without using a lot of salt as an enhancer - this is one of the reasons why we are a repeat customer.
